The 2016 International Topical Meeting on Microwave Photonics (MWP 2016) will be held in California on October 31 - November 3, 2016 at the Long Beach Hilton. Its Call for Papers is available at the conference website www.mwp2016.org. The conference will be co-located with the 2016 Avionics and Vehicle Fiber-Optics and Photonics conference (AVFOP 2016), whose website is www.avfop-ieee.org.
Yifei Li of the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, and Shilong Pan of the Nanjing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics, China, have proposed a Student Design Competition entitled, "Microwave photonic link receiver." If accepted, this competition will take place at IMS 2016 in San Francisco on May 22-27, 2016.
